Tipping for private tours

Very individual and personal decision. I have seen from $0 to $20.

I keep in mind they are performing a service.

Sometimes tips are pooled. So last cruise we did a tour and there was the guide and 2 drivers. I was figuring out what to give each and then the guide came around with a bucket and so I just put it all in there. She said it would be pooled.

If it's simply transportation, we tip little, if at all....after all, you've paid for the drive! If it's a tour and the guide is really fun and informative, we'll tip $10-20, depending on length of tour. If they aren't very good, no tip is needed or deserved. It's really a personal choice dependant on the value you feel you've received.
