Its a few years since I cruised so could someone tell me about anytime dining? Can I go what ever time I like each day and is it possible to get a table for two ?thanks

As a person relatively new to cruise critic and cruising, I can tell you that your first responses to your question will be: "What cruise line are you sailing on?" And then, "Post your question to that cruise line board."

My one and only cruise was on Norwegian Jade last November. They ONLY have Freestyle dining. We just showed up when we felt like it, and only one time were we not seated immediately (we had to wait like 6 minutes!!...it was Thanksgiving Day).

The answer may vary by cruise line.

On most lines, you can show up whenever you would like to eat. Usually about 5pm to about 10pm. You can request a table for two. You will be seated when a table is available. That may be immediately or there may be a wait. If there is a wait, most lines will give you a beeper, so you don''t have to stand there and wait. On some cruises, tables for 2 are in demand. Unless you are there early, there could be a lengthy wait.
