Traditional Dining Times on Pacific Dawn

Painter

Recommended Posts

I just found out one cannot choose early or late Traditional dining times.

Questioned a T.A. today and they said it no longer exists. She said there is a free traditional dining room with only one sitting and one has to book each day. Not easy to get a booking.

Buffet is free and also another set dining room that has a charge.

Who had cruised on the particular ship and is this correct?

Thanks.

The TA is not totally correct. P&O Australia ships no longer have traditional dining with an early and a late sitting. They have Anytime Dining and you have to book each day, but this is very quick and simple. Times available are generally 5.45/6.00pm or 7.45/8pm, so it is virtually the same as early and late sittings. With this system it is much easier to change tables or waiters.

I suggest you book for the first night when you first board the ship, and if that time is OK for you, book for the next night as you arrive at the dining room. If you wait until you exit there will be a few people waiting to book and you might miss getting a good seat for the after-dinner show.

The buffet is free and the Salt Grill has a charge.
