Where is Captain Timmers?

Does anyone know which ship Captain Timmers is on these days?

 

He was the Captain on the Zuiderdam last year when my parents did the Inside Passage cruise. On that sailing, he'd signed a copy of The Alaska Cruise Handbook for us, so we were hoping to meet him this year. It looks like he's not on the Zuiderdam anymore, though, and I'm guessing odds are against him taking over anytime in the next two weeks.

He was on the Ryndam, in Northern Europe. He may be on vacation as of yesterday. When I was on my cruise just over a week ago, he indicated that he had one week until his vacation.

He's nearing retirement. I wouldn't be surprised to see him disappear one of these days.
