Booking your next cruise while on a cruise

We thought about doing that on our last cruise, but figured why waste precious vacation time researching and pondering about our next cruise when we're already on one? We did get a future cruise certificate for our upcoming cruise, but that was it.

Research and book your next cruise after you're already home. In the meantime, enjoy your cruise and don't spend it standing at a counter booking your next one.

Please tell me about the future cruise certificate?

While on the Magic back in May we booked both our 2013 cruises. But we did know exactly when we wanted to sail and I got on the ship PC's and looked at available cabins. After seeing the cabin we wanted was available went right to the Future Cruise desk and booked. Got $100 OBC for each Cruise. (NOT each person) Bookings were moved over to our TA when we returned home with no problems. :)

The only advantage to booking a cruise while on a cruise is if you know of other people that want to come with you but are not on a ship to buy a FCC. If the other people book the same cruise as you they will get the same OBC that you're getting. I believe you get two certificates. Remember that only one certificate can be used per cabin and if you need to book two cabins, buy the FCC in two different names and they have to be on the ship to do so.

On occasion and it happened to us the cruise consultants on the ship do not seem to have the lowest prices.

Refused to go to the CCL website to look so we just purchased the fcc and booked at home at website price.
