cardqb Posted July 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2012 We thought about doing that on our last cruise, but figured why waste precious vacation time researching and pondering about our next cruise when we're already on one? We did get a future cruise certificate for our upcoming cruise, but that was it. Research and book your next cruise after you're already home. In the meantime, enjoy your cruise and don't spend it standing at a counter booking your next one.
Jimmy Geegitz Posted July 3, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 3, 2012 We always buy the future Cruise Vouchers. You don't have to book right away and you get up to 200 OBC.
mrpayroll Posted July 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 3, 2012 You do not save any money by booking while on a cruise. You pay whatever the going rate is at that time.

Room Service! Posted July 3, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 3, 2012 We are using one for our upcoming cruise. Cost $100.00. With that we get the $100.00 towards our future cruise and $100.00 OBC. Like getting $100.00 for free.
golfadj Posted July 3, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 3, 2012 No reason for us to book cruise while on a cruise. We just purchase the FCC.
coolson_2000 Posted July 3, 2012 #8 Share Posted July 3, 2012 I'd also like to point out that the future cruise certificate is fully refundable up to 2 years after purchase. So it's a win-win situation.
JRock59 Posted July 3, 2012 #9 Share Posted July 3, 2012 While on the Magic back in May we booked both our 2013 cruises. But we did know exactly when we wanted to sail and I got on the ship PC's and looked at available cabins. After seeing the cabin we wanted was available went right to the Future Cruise desk and booked. Got $100 OBC for each Cruise. (NOT each person) Bookings were moved over to our TA when we returned home with no problems. :)
kicia Posted July 3, 2012 #10 Share Posted July 3, 2012 The only advantage to booking a cruise while on a cruise is if you know of other people that want to come with you but are not on a ship to buy a FCC. If the other people book the same cruise as you they will get the same OBC that you're getting. I believe you get two certificates. Remember that only one certificate can be used per cabin and if you need to book two cabins, buy the FCC in two different names and they have to be on the ship to do so. Refused to go to the CCL website to look so we just purchased the fcc and booked at home at website price.
