Freedom 6 night or Fascination 5 night -would you switch?

I'd stay on Freedom if I had this Delma. I'd just seek out other ways to make up that $200. Example instead of the $15per day parking lot, reserve online for a remote parking lot and spend $5.99 per day. Freedom is such a nice ship. If you have been on other Fantasy class ships then this would be an exciting other adventure.

The smaller ships sometimes feel less crowded and easier to get around. It is also why I like the Carnival Legend out of Tampa. The Freedom has more people and has a more crowded feel. Don't get me wrong. If an opportunity to go on the Freedom was to arise, I would go on it in a heartbeat and have fun.

Out of all the ships, the Carnival Legend (Spirit Class) is my favorite. It is easy to get around, less crowded, and has all of the amenities of the Freedom and has more amenities than the Fascination.

Whatever you decide, you will have a good time.

I appreciate your thoughts on big vs not as big ships. I did decide on the Fascinstion. Thanks.

Can you explain why you like the smaller ships more? I've seen this comment here and there on the boards and I'm interested in your view (or whoever else wants to chime in) on it.

NO CROWDS. I have sailed on the Freedom three time..all 8 days cruises to Panama. I love the ship. I have sailed on the Fascination once. I loved that ship.

Freedom..food was better.

Casino was more modern and larger.

Fascination....never crowded.

Once you learned that the Deli is delicious..the pizza good...and pick you dishes in the MDR..The Plank Steak was good..ditto the Prime Rib...Left dinner each time too full...

Shows were good...maybe a hair less than the Freedom. They do the Ticket to Ride...Beatles..excellent. but the Fascination does an 80's show that excellent.

If money was the issue..and driving to S.Florida during the Holidays..take the Fascination. Make a reservation on the Freedom..far out..and start making small payments each month. Before you know it.....you will have sailed on BOTH!

HAPPY SAILINGS!

We sailed on the Fascination last year and had a really good time. We were going to sail on her again this year but the SIL decided to join us and so we are instead sailing on the Pride out of Baltimore which is closer to where the SIL lives so she can drive there. I'm sure you will enjoy the Fascination, she may be older with less amenities but she's still a fun cruise!:D
