Fish & chips take out place in/near Kihei Maui

Years ago we stopped at a take out fish and chips place that was near where we were staying in Kihei and it was on the main highway. I don't think it had indoor seating. To the best of my recollection is was a building where you walked up to the counter and placed your order and took your food away. The fish and chips were local variety such as mahi mahi.

Does anyone know of the place I'm thinking about and have a name for it or has it long since shut down?

I'm sure I can find something comparable but this take out joint was very popular and recommended by locals.

My guess would also be Alexander's. Right on the main highway. Always eat there at least twice when in Maui.

Thanks! I looked at both those websites. Its my guess according to the photos that it is probably Alexanders. And if its not then I guess the place I'm thinking of has closed down. We'll definitely head out there for a meal and to take a look at Kihei again. Every time I go more hotels or condos have taken over the beaches.

While in Kihei in April, I think we noticed Alexander's is no longer there, another place is but I don't think it was a fish takeout anymore. We use to eat there years ago but thought it wasn't as good as it had been and stopped going some time ago.
