Winning Posted July 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2012 So we are flying in a day early for the cruise, we fly into ft.Lauderdale instead of Miami to safe a few hundred bucks. Can anyone recommend transportation to and from, and how long of a drive it will be.
KenMo Posted July 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2012 We use www.ridesas.com It's about 30-45 mins. depending on traffic. They will also pick you up after the cruise and take you to the airport.

Can anyone recommend transportation to and from, and how long of a drive it will be. The ride is about 40 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. There is a share a ride at the airport that is pretty reasonable but you pay per person. For example they charge $23 pp to go to the Port of Miami. There has been mention of this subject and more info can be found on the boards under ports. I don't remember which car service was recommend but that might work best if there are a number of people in your party. Have a great cruise. S.S.Oceanlover Posted July 27, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2012 SAS is $15pp . If you have 4 or more it's $13pp. Great service and well worth it. Bill

spacepotatoes Posted July 27, 2012 #9 Share Posted July 27, 2012 How many of you are there and what time will you be needing the ride? I ask because when I was looking into this last year, I learned that if there are 2 of you, SAS will charge you for 3 after 7 PM. We used Go Airport Shuttle and it worked out cheaper that way. On the way back to Fort Lauderdale from POM, we used QLS (Quality Limo Service). They'll take you to the airport or a hotel. The drive is 30 - 45 minutes, depending on the traffic and how adventurous your driver is ;)
LUPY48 Posted July 27, 2012 #10 Share Posted July 27, 2012 What if you're a single? Does SAS make you sit and wait for the car/van to fill up?

Can anyone recommend transportation to and from, and how long of a drive it will be. We always email Carlos at CMV Transportation here: carlos@cmvtransportation.com Tell him what time you're arriving and on what airline and where you want to go. He'll be there to pick you up. He works with SAS and sometimes SAS picks you up as well. We've used him several times and will be again in the fall when we land at FLL and want transportation to Miami as well. armywifefisher Posted July 27, 2012 #12 Share Posted July 27, 2012 I am going to use go airport suttle since I am arriving at 12:35am http://www.floridalimo.com it is goig to cost us $47.00 that is with the tip already included for 2 of us ot IC hotel in Miami or $80 to $90 for a private sadan depeneding if you want them to meet you at bagage claim or not and tip was included in the price too. You do not have to reserve ahead as they have a location at the airport. You can also check it out on the airport site under transperation. On SAS webiste it said no request after 8pm. stargate fan Posted July 27, 2012 #13 Share Posted July 27, 2012 What if you're a single? Does SAS make you sit and wait for the car/van to fill up? No, the driver will pick you up and take you right away to HIPOM. BTW, we've used SAS many times and were thrilled with their service each time. Our trips from FLL to HIPOM never took more than 20 minutes.
mary ee Posted July 27, 2012 #14 Share Posted July 27, 2012 We are using go airport shuttle as well. I found that, with a late arriving flight, the others mentioned will not pick you up as they do not run that late. We arrive at 11:10 pm.
