When do you buy the soda sticker?

My DH can't live without his Diet Cokes, so he will most definitely be purchasing the Bottomless Bubbles option.

When do we buy this? Does the option present itself or do we need to make sure we get to the right place at the right time?

  • A 15% gratuity will be added to price when purchasing.
  • Pricing is subject to sales tax when purchased prior to the cruise or at port. You can purchase on the first night, or the next morning to avoid the taxes while in international waters.

Details:

  • "Bottomless Bubbles" unlimited soda program is non-transferable and may not be shared. Guests or family members who would like to enjoy soft drinks through this program must purchase their own sticker.
  • One beverage serving, per sticker, will be served at a time.
  • Soft drink is served by the glass (16 ounces); juice is served by the glass (10 ounces).
  • The program cannot be used through room service or the Interactive TV system, where applicable, or the minibar, where applicable.
  • The program can be used in Half Moon Cay.
  • The Unlimited Soda Program can only be purchased on the day of embarkation or the next day. After the first full cruise day it is no longer available for purchase.
  • Must be purchased for entire cruise, not available by the day. You are charged by the length of cruise left. So, if you purchase the second day your price is cheaper.

Carnival offers these Coke products fleet wide: Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Diet Sprite and Fanta Orange.

Ships sailing out of the ports of Galveston & New Orleans will also offer Dr. Pepper and Diet Dr. Pepper. All other ports will offer Pibb Xtra instead of the Dr. Pepper products.

We plan to use the coupon option through the Bon voyage department because we are paying for the rest of our extended family and don't want them putting them on their S&S cards.

Is there an option for us to go with the family and buy the stickers for the family?

In June on the Valor they had a table in the Atrium Lobby to sell the stickers and had a large refillable cup they were selling (forgot price of cup).

If you will drink more than 3 sodas on embarkation day go ahead and buy when you get on board, then you can have soda with your lunch.

The cup was $4 extra, if I remember correctly. It was definitely below $7 bucks.

Will they fill that cup up with soda?

Yes. They will fill that up instead of giving you a glass.

Nice, thanks for the info.

Do you know if you can use the soda sticker in the Steakhouse, or do you have to bring it in with you, or just pay for it?

Yes, you can pre-purchase the bottomless bubbles package before the cruise. That's what we've done already. You do have to pay tax, but for us, it's nice to take care of the expense ahead of time. It's super easy, you will have a note in your cabin telling you where to pick up the sticker. Each time, it's been at the specialty Cafe & we just signed that we picked it up.

for what you paid for a cruise and you are worried about a few dollars you will save on tax?

for a soda drinker to go a few hours without a soda-- and having lunch and dinner without a soda-- is that worth the 2 buck savings you would get by waiting?

Not all ports charge the tax.. I have yet to see the tax.

Soda card can be used in the steak house.

when used in the MDR you have to wait for the bar server- soda is not given out by the waiters/or asst waiters-- get two coz it will take a bit to get your soda. (tip for faster service-- that bar waiter in the dining room is not making any money on your soda.

The cup is $4.95 plus 15% gratuity. Definitely worth it. We purchased the bottomless bubbles as soon as the shops and casino were opened, meaning we were in international waters. It saved us over $5 on a 5 day cruise... if you're going to buy a couple of sodas before then anyway, then just go ahead and buy it right away.

At lunch that first day we had lemonade and iced tea.

The soda card is valid anywhere on the ship that soda is sold- Lido, bars, steakhouse, lounges and in the shows... some people reported difficulties getting served, or finding ship personnel with an attitude about the soda card, but we didn't find that at all...

to ccruisequeen when you check in each cabin will need to show their own credit card if you do not want them putting purchases onto your credit card you can turn their charging priviledges off or have them put cash on their own cards.

We bought it as soon as we walked on the ship (which was about 11:00 a.m. on sailing out at 4:00 day). Go to the Lido Deck bar and you'll get the Endless Bubbles sticker on your card for $6 a day. Only downside to that is you do pay $6 for the day you port at 8:00 a.m. also. We did the self luggage carry off the ship thing so we were in the theater waiting by 7:00 a.m. and did not get a soda at all on the final day. But it is still very much a good deal!

The one that was open very early every morning for us is the bar in the very back of the boat right by the adult only hot tubs. It was the same girl working each morning and she was so nice even at 7 a.m. fixing me a diet coke! :) I would assume that it was open on debark day because they were serving breakfast, but honestly we wanted off first to make our flight and didn't even check! Tip of the day: They will also add a cherry or two to your diet coke to make it look pretty if you ask. LOL

I buy mine the 2nd day.. My reason.. they charge the same for a day.. Meaning, on the day of embarkation, and you get on the boat at 1:00 or later.. they charge the same amount for that day.. (it's not pro-rated).. I know silly to think about a day's worth, but every little bit helps!! :o)

I do this too. I am a self professed Diet Cokaholic. I am at the pool bar first thing in the morning buying my sticker (I drink diet coke, not coffee). I agree, I don't want to pay for 'half' a day.
