Cruise trip paid in Full, We haven't bought insurance yet

We paid our cruise in full a couple of months ago. We haven't purchased our cruise insurance yet. Our air fare is paid, hotel and car.

 

What insurance would you recommend? We have Tricare Prime as our medical coverage.

Is Tricare the medical plan available to veterans and their families? If so, you should probably at least look at the travel insurance plans available through USAA. They're from Travel Insured and I have heard that the coverages and premiums are pretty good. But also check elsewhere to compare.

Go to InsureMyTrip(dot)com, enter your cruise info (price, destination, ages, etc) and you will be presented with a ton of providers and plans to compare.

If you are a USAA member, definitely go to their website, look for poducts an discounts, and there will be a tab for travel. In that section, click on travel insurance. You can easily get a quote from Travel Insured which will show 3 different plans & prices for comparison.

 

The first time we used Travel Insured, I had to file a claim, and their check to me was mailed within 2 weeks after claim submission. Have a great cruise!
