Weather in October

Can anyone recommend what to pack to wear in mid October for places like Athens, Mykonos and Santorini?

We were in Mykonos and Athens last October and wore lightweight cotton, summer clothes. It was clear, sunny and warm -- very pleasant -- maybe in the high 70s on Mykonos and a little warmer in Athens, especially on the Acropolis where there isn't any shade.

We were in these ports three years ago in October and had wonderful weather (as described above). IMO, this is the perfect time to be in the Mediterranean.

It's not likely to be cooler than the previous posters state, and it may even be warmer. It was in the low 90s in Athens in mid-October when I spent a few days there two years ago. (Two weeks previous, when I boarded my cruise in Athens, it was near 100 degrees!)

Well worth taking a lightweight waterproof. For weather thats sometimes wet & warm.
