tommyb22 Posted August 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2012 I have not cruised in several years and was shocked to learn you have to make reservations to the shows months in advance on the oasis or you dont get to watch them- someone please tell me this is not true. If so are people trading tickets on the ship- once they are there and make up their mind?
oneputt18 Posted August 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2012 As soon as you board find out where the show reservations desk is set up. I think it is in front of the theater. They always hold some seats for those that didn't book online. You can also show up about 45 minutes before a show and hope to get in( some people with reservations don't show) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
28 Frediebeach Posted August 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Yes is true you should prebook any shows you want to see & when you want to see them. You can also get in line for show as if not full will let you in @ 10 min before show. You do not get tickets as reservations are linked to seapass card. Reservations for the amazing shows offered can open up for booking up to 9O days out on your cruise personalizer, under your reservation. You do not get a ticket but a verification of showtimes picked. When you go to a show they will scan your seapass card which will show you reserved. The shows open up about 10 minutes ahead for those without reservations but sometimes they are full. From what I have read there is a time and place once onboard that you go to and try to reserve the shows you want to see. Someone will chime in about that I am sure. Really though, they are all very good and reserving before is so easy. No hassles, just walk right in. The seating is first come first serve. :)
negc Posted August 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2012 While it is strongly suggested that you make advance reservations to see some of the shows on Allure and Oasis, many who do not do so have still been able to see the shows. About ten minutes prior to the start of the performances, anyone without reservations is able to gain admission to the theater. Availability of good seats may be limited by that time, but rarely is anyone shut out because they did not reserve in advance. No physical tickets are issued. Your sea pass will be encoded with the information regarding your reservations, so no trading of "tickets" is possible or required. Reservations can also be made once you board the ship, if you are overly concerned that you may miss a performance.
