New Orleans Port VIP Question

I'm booked in a suite on the 10/7/12 Conquest Bahamas cruise and so me, my DH, and my mother all have VIP perks. Can anyone run me through the VIP process for the Port of N.O.? (And we are all sharing the suite, so I'm not trying to sneak anyone into the VIP line! I know that draws a lot of ire from folks, and with good reason too.)

I wasnt in a suite so I am not sure of everything but there is a line for suite and returning passengers that will cut down on your wait time. there is also a priority waiting area so you will be able to board first once they start letting people on.

Just wondering...when you say "VIP" line, is this the same line as the latitude members line? Or different.

On all of our cruises, we noticed the regular lines and the latitudes lines.

However, on our last cruise out of Miami, we noticed the VIP section, which was actually different than the latitude members line and it was in an actual room off to the side. So is there an actual "room" that is different in NOLA?

We were VIP on our last cruise from NO. We followed the VIP line upstairs and were escorted to the check-in line ahead of the others (some grumbling about that) then taken to the VIP waiting area. Not much to it, though. Just a place to wait. We stayed just a couple of minutes and then a Carnival rep had us cut into the line to boeard the ship. More grumbling from the other passengers there, but the whole process only took about 40 minutes.
