Get lower price even if only Guar still available?

Just noticed the price on my SC cat has gone down $200 pp but guarantee's are the only thing available.

 

I have an assigned cabin I want to keep, 4181 on Eurodam.

 

I haven't made final payment yet as cruise is in December.

 

Can I get the cheaper rate and keep my assigned cabin?

I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope that you can do both. Sometimes you have to choose between two good alternatives.

Take a look at the locations of all the SC, SB, and SA cabins. Is there one, or more, that you would not want to be in? If yes, then you might want to stay put, and eat the $200 pp. Remember, you were already willing to pay it. If no, then what's to stop you from switching to a guarantee?

Give it a try, being you have not made final payment yet, if your cabin price has gone down call your TA/FCC. You might not get the cheaper fair but maybe some great OBC.

It never hurts to have your TA call HAL and ask about getting the lower price for the cabin you have.

But be prepared for HAL to say that it is just a sale for new bookings only.
