Why do you love cruising?

I love looking at the ocean. Its less expensive than getting a condo at the beach. I don't have to cook or clean. I can do as much or as little as I want to do.

I love the food in the MDR. I love the shows in the main lounge. I love being rocked to sleep at night.

I love having quality time with my husband and daughter.

We love not having to plan in advance and actually look forward to sea days.

We like our anytime dinner reservations so we can eat with our one child when we are all hungry.

We love leaving the driver to the Captain and learning to let go and just relax for a very short week!

I feel like its the only vacation that I can use the excuse "I don't get cell service at sea"! I completely disconnect, no iPhone, no iPad, no email, no messaging! It's my escape form life. If I travel stateside, I don't get that same escape feeling. Even on my trip to Dubai, I was still using my iPad for Facebook, news, email, etc. not on a cruise though! I love the feeling that I get from a weeklong reprieve from life.

I love cruising because...

I am not at work

I am not cleaning my house

I am not doing laundry

I am not cooking

I am not sitting in traffic

I am not washing dishes

I am not sitting on my couch watching TV

I am out doing fun things

I am doing nothing when I want to

I am seeing beautiful places

I am meeting fun people

I am getting away from my kids

I am getting away with my kids

I am eating warm chocolate melting cake every night

I am not worried about calories on a cruise

I am not at work

I am not at work

oh, and I am not at work. :D

I have two kids that are 7 years apart and always want to do different things. Going on a cruise allows me to send my oldest (15) to the teen areas and my youngest (8) to the kids section and they love it. I get to have my own time to relax and keep my sanity. :)

I love being on the water. The enormity of the ocean and its eternal horizon makes me happy... it feels like an adventure.

I like the absolute laziness of sea days combined with the excitement of port days. And I like having the ship as "home base" during our journey.

Specific to cruising the Caribbean:

1) I love the endless shades of blue in the water.

2) The warm salty water has magical therapeutic qualities.

3) All those delightful islands are so conveniently co-located!

We love to travel ...period....

and with a cruise... you unpack one time and go to different places....

you never have to worry about driving into a bad area in a town you are not familiar with....

everyone can eat what they want....when they want.....

everyone can go to any entertainment they want....
