Why do you love cruising?

  • It's the only type of vacation where I'm completely relaxed. I eat when I want, nap when I want, read when I want . . .
  • Everyone on the ship is also on vacation, so there's no stress of "I need to get back to work."
  • Grandparents keep the kids while we cruise so it's a getaway for just DH and me.
  • Seeing a bit of different countries, that we'd probably not visit otherwise.
  • Eating in a nice restaurant each night without worrying about the bill.
  • Spending less for the whole cruise than we would for just hotel and gas for any other vacation.

I just like being on a ship, and seeing the ocean around it.

The service that comes along with the cruise also makes it so worthwhile, as in someone makes your bed each day, and you dont have to cook, or set a table, or clear it after the meal. No dishes to clean, and a choice of items to choose from at dinner time. Or for that matter, a huge choice of food between buffet and deli, and other offerings. And oh yes,,,room service!!!!!

Entertainment! some I am not crazy about, but others I like, and there is enough to pick and choose what you want to do and see on board. Casino is also one of my things to enjoy on a cruise.

Ports of call, some old favorites, and some not so favorite, and sometimes a new port of call to explore. For me they are always in the Caribbean, and warm with beaches and palm trees, somethings I only get to enjoy on a cruise.

Also, usually meet some really nice people on a cruise, and stay in touch with some afterward, and once even got to cruise with someone from a previous cruise again.

Just so many reasons to love cruising for me. Cant wait till the next, though my wings have been clipped, and for the time being, I cant be away from home for more than a day or two. Hopefully next year.:)

Why do I love cruising? Well here goes....

1. Relaxation

2. To get away frm everyone and everything.

3. Unpack once.

4. Waking up in a different place every morning.

5. Meeting all kinds of new people.

6. Seeing new places.

7. Different kinds of food that I do not have to cook or clean up after making.

8. Time for just DH and I.

9. No cell phones ringing.

10. Being on the water and just hearing it go by as we sail.

I think that covers it for now...

1. love the sound of the Ocean and how relaxing it is

2. get to see many Islands you would typically never have a chance to get to

3. with 3 kids it's hard getting alone time, but my wife and I can do this on a cruise knowing the kids are having fun for the most part

4. up until this weekend and of late I have wanted to orphan them!!.....love spending time with the kids and giving them the opportunity to travel which I did not have at their age..

5. when they are not testing my patience...love spending time with them learning new cultures and seeing so many different ways of life, helps them appreciate more of what they have. However, only my oldest Daughter really understands that concept
