Everything Breakaway!(LIVE on 4/28)

We visited the Breakaway on May 10th. Here are some pictures of exterior, Studios and my mini Breakaway that is now in the good hands of Kevin Sheehan. He is a truly great person, was fun to meet and talk to.

Klaus was onboard and everywhere. His energy levels are amazing!

The ship is better than any pictures can describe. Anyone cruisng on the Breakaway will have a great time. Like many posters have said, Norwegian Cruise Line has listened and learned from the EPIC.

I will send some more pictures even though I think the ship has been well covered by this thread.

awesome. thank you! Did you book direct with NCL?

Let me know how you do with this, I just signed up for the brochure on the HSN site, and I wonder if I should call to have it applied to my sailing yet or wait a few days.

Just call and say "I would like to know if there is an OBC hooked up to my latitudes number". If they say no, call back in a few days.

Not this time. I used a TA. You can still call NCL directly though and ask if the credit is hooked to your latitudes number.

thanks! I used a TA for both of my Breakaway sailings and she's had no luck thusfar. We'll keep trying :) THANKS!!!

Your Breakaway model looks awesome. Will it be on display on the ship? I'd love to see it.

I had previously had the $100 OBC in my husband's name from HSN applied to our Getaway cruise. At the time, I was told there wasn't a $100 OBC in my name, even though I signed up for both of us on HSN web site. Anyway, I called NCL again today, and MY $100 OBC was there now. You can't apply both to the same reservation number, so I used mine for our Breakaway cruise. Hubby's is still listed for our Getaway cruise. Just FYI. If they tell you it's not there, just give it a few days and call again.

Does the arcade take actual cash money or the room card is charged. I shudder to think the damage my 15 year old son could do to our bill if it's attached to the room acct. I'd rather he bring some earned money for this.

I hope they take cash too, otherwise we will be in the same predicament as my 14yr old son will just continue to play & play & play, if he can charge it to the room!!! He also has money saved for the cruise, so I hope he gets the chance to spend HIS money, at the arcade:) and not add it onto my bill-I already have planned on doing enough damage to my bill by myself, with spa trips, casino visits and shopping:D

Last time I was in the arcade it took the room card only. You might be able to put a block on it but not sure. I love the skill cranes to pick up the animals and I got carried away!!! So I know the kids could too!

No, it is attached to the shipboard account. You can set up a separate shipboard account for your kids, pre-pay their gratuities, and then fund their accounts with however much cash from their spending money you wish to allow (but make sure it is not attached to your account backed by your credit card). And when the cash runs out, you can decide whether to add add'l funding or not. My understanding is that if it is attached to your shipboard account which is backed by a credit card, there is no way to limit their spending other than relying on them to behave.... On breakaway, Ep[ic and Getaway, you can check your account balance on your cabin TV whemever you want. Not sure if that is available on any other ships.

Great, thanks for the info. Will be sure to set up accounts for both kids, so they can have a bit more freedom with their activities while onboard:)

Also someone earlier today had mentioned that the courtyard roof was enclosed, yes it can be, but it can also be opened, which is wonderful depending on the weather.

Just in case this has not been mentioned yet(still trawling through the posts since the TA)

The roof opening is probably less than 25% of the total glass cover of the haven area.

Someone can count the squares and report back(might be as low as 20%)
