Your right hard to tell with the thumbnail on the iPad. So first time in 5 weeks.

I believe that he had posted this port-side docking a few weeks back ... when it first occurred.

But as far as I know ... Breakaway's been docking starboard-side most of the time :)

Image file was dated May 29th. That was the ONLY time so far that the Breakaway has been docked port side.

When the Gem was in Bermuda, it docked the complete opposite....most times was port side and only one time a month it docked starboard side. I was using that pattern so I went ahead and booked my balcony on port side and one of the main reasons why I didn't book an aft cabin like we normally do. So far it looks like my chances are very slim now that I would be facing the dock. <sigh>

The Dawn has been following the same pattern as the Gem did. Port side to the dockyard most weeks so far. Aft cabins when docked port side to the Dockyard become easy bake ovens with the afternoon sun.

I know the SJ balcony is larger by 25 sq. ft. on deck 9 but other than that, what's the difference between an SJ on Deck 9 and an SJ on Deck 12?

It looks like there is an overhang on deck 9, would that hinder the aft view making deck 12 better? Any other difference? Thanks!

It was definitely port side on the 6/26 sailing. I was there watching the the peeps coming on and the sailaway from my cabin.

A couple folks cutting it close today. Two others came back at 5:05 Bermuda time if I recall correctly.

Love the Bermuda webcam. Whoever works the camera does a terrific job!

Gave up trying to guess which way the ships dock. Either way has a great balcony view - except if you're aft and it docks port side. Then you might get a great view of another ship's aft balconies ,

I was on the one where the ship docked port side. The other ship had its front facing our aft. I'm sure their view was better. I'll try posting the pics.

I'd actually like the ship with the AFT facing the main entrance/exit to the dock so I could people watch.

And you can roast in the late afternoon summer sun. Last time in Bermuda we started that way and the balconies were almost unusable in the afternoon. Thankfully they turned the Gem around midday the the second day. So much better with nice morning sun and afternoon shade.

Yeah. Thought I read that before. Will be doing enough "roasting" come late August. I'll be very happy in the AFT either way.

I agree. And it was also nice because I got the $15 internet package available at the dock and was able to sit on the balcony and do some work with a great view!
