San Francisco - Club Quarters Hotel

DW and I are sailing out of SF late March 2013. We will be arriving 3 days early to take in some sights before sailing.

While I knew SF hotels would be expensive, I did get caught off guard by how much more expensive than other ports we have sailed out of.

Club Quarters, 424 Clay Street, appears to offer smaller, more basic rooms at a reasonable rate. A quick search here on CC revealed little about this hotel.

I will appreciate any comments regarding Club Quarters and/or its location.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I have stayed at Club Quarters in SF two times. Our rooms were with the small kitchen. Very clean and modern. Friendly management, nice restaurant and pub attached. It is in the financial district so not busy on weekends and fewer choices for restaurants in that maybe two block area on weekends. SF hotels in my opinion are not as expensive as Seattle and Vancouver. I usually use Hotwire or Priceline.
