Tux and accessories

I am planning on having a Tux for our next cruise. Thought it would add to the experiance. My wife and I are at odds over the use of a cummerbund. I say they are out and she thinks they are still used. Any ideas would help. Thanks

I always think a cummerbund 'finishes' the tux.

Plus, they have a lot of stylish designs, so you can kind of 'personalize' your look with different bow tie/cummerbund sets. So, if your wife wears two different dresses for the two formal nights, you could co-ordinate your tux to her outfits and it will look completely different in the photos.

Just my opinion....

As someone once told me...The color would never be right:rolleyes:

Yes, they are still in...just done wear it at the same time as the vest

Just so happens DH went out today to purchase new tux shirts; the tux was in good shape, but the shirt was worn. And he will be wearing a cummerbund; right now, the question is whether he just brings along the black one, or brings both black and red (with matching tie) for the two formal nights? I'm bringing one champagne-colored dress and one black dress. Any thoughts?

Someone once said that the cummerbund was designed to catch crumbs during dinner.
