Sailaway487 Posted September 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2012 For the 10th edition of Itinerary Challenge, it's a special Back-to-back Edition. With a back-to-back cruise you can visit 11 ports of call and you can also explore where you embark/disembark properly, all in one cruise. So, what's in store this time? Perhaps you want to explore the Greek island of Santorini and marvel at Ephesus one week, knowing that the next you can relax on a gondola in Venice and wander around the 'Jewel of the Adriatic', Dubrovnik, the next. Or maybe an itinerary where you can visit Rome twice in two weeks and take in the best that the Western Mediterranean has to offer might tempt you? Maybe you'd rather instead go east and explore the Turkish city of Istanbul one week and then discover the Pyramids in Cairo the next? Which would you prefer? Choose your favourite back-to-back itinerary out of these three: Adriatic Explorer & Pearls of the Aegean 2013 Corfu Town - Ship at Sea - Koper - Venice - Sibenik (Croatia) - Dubrovnik - Kotor - Corfu Town - Ship at Sea - Aghios Nikolaos (Crete) - Thira (Santorini) - Kusadasi - Piraeus (for Athens) - Katakolon - Corfu Town Adriatic Explorer 2013: http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/itineraries/adriatic-explorer-itinerary-74.html Pearls of the Aegean 2013: http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/itineraries/pearls-of-the-aegean-itinerary-73.html Highlights of the Mediterranean & Treasures of the Mediterranean 2013 Palma - Ship at Sea - Ajaccio - Civitavecchia (for Rome) - Livorno (for Florence & Pisa) - St Raphael - Barcelona - Palma - Ship at Sea - Trapani (Sicily) - Naples - Civitavecchia (for Rome) - Calvi (Corsica) - Palamos - Palma Highlights of the Mediterranean 2013: http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/itineraries/highlights-of-the-mediterranean-itinerary-61.html Treasures of the Mediterranean 2013: http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/itineraries/treasures-of-the-mediterranean-itinerary-59.html Ancient Wonders & Egypt and the Holy Land 2013 Marmaris - Ship at Sea - Istanbul - Mytilene (Lesbos) - Piraeus (for Athens) - Mykonos Town - Kusadasi - Marmaris - Ship at Sea - Alexandria - Port Said (for Cairo) - Ashdod - Larnaca - Alanya - Marmaris Ancient Wonders 2013: http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/itineraries/ancient-wonders-itinerary-76.html Egypt & the Holy Land 2013: http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/itineraries/egypt-and-the-holy-land-itinerary-91.html Votes will close on Friday, 14 September 2013. kruzseeka Posted September 10, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2012 Another Adriatic Explorer and Pearls vote here although the mix on the Med b2b is great - had it had La Spezia in there I'd have been hard pressed to choose!

Sailaway487 Posted September 11, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted September 11, 2012 Adriatic and Aegean proving popular then. I agree kruzseeka about the Western Med itineraries. I think they're the best for a few years and I like the option of doing Rome twice.
happy v Posted September 12, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 12, 2012 I think I'll have to go for the Med. I love the Adriatic but I can take or leave the Greek isles. I also like Cairo and Istanbul, but when I compare all the ports I think the Med has more of my favourites. Having said all that I've still sat here for 5 minutes, to make sure I was sure :o (you'd think it was an exam!!)
