AviGirl Posted September 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2012 Is final payment due 75 or 90 days out?
Fblack Posted September 14, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2012 Hope this helps. When is the final payment due? Final payment is generally due seventy-five (75) days prior to sailing for most non-holiday departures. Holiday sailings and other select departures require final payment ninety (90) days prior to the sailing date. http://www.celebritycruises.com/footer/faqResults.do?faqId=4963&faqSubjectId=416&faqSubjectName=Group+Booking

Rare cruisestitch Posted September 14, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2012 If you go through a TA you might find that they want it a few days earlier. Mine does. This is so that there is no hassle with the credit card, and if any irregularity shows up, there is still time to get it fixed. Five days early is what he requests. Project_gal Posted September 14, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 14, 2012 Yes, you must beware and consult your own cruise documentation. There has been a recent conversation on our roll call for our 29 Decmeber cruise. Some people have already had to make their final payment [we are still over 100 days pre-cruise], others need to do it soon. Ours is not due until 2 November - 57 days pre-cruise. We book direct with Celebrity and all our cruises have a 57 or 58 day final payment date. The others on our roll call come from various parts of the world [including others from the UK] and have variously booked through a TA or direct with Celebrity. AlaskaGolden Posted September 14, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 14, 2012 Our TA, a big box-type, requires payment 90 days before sail date which is 15 days earlier than the cruise lines. We usually pay-off the balance gradually starting about 2 months before final payment date, so this isn't a big deal. Others might not like it, but we get good service and great OBCs so we don't have any issues.
Denny01 Posted September 14, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 14, 2012 You'll also notice from these posts that there are differences depending on the country, but for US and Canada, the 75/90 days prior is a Celebrity requirement and as stated in other posts, ther will be additional days tacked on by a TA. And someone can correct me but I believe the restrictions Celebrity has after Final Payment is based on their dates, not the TA's or if you decide to pay all earlier. Enjoy!
