Cruising with 2 year old

My son will be 2 next March. We are thinking of taking a cruise next June-July. I am not sure if he will be potty-trained or not yet. Will most of the ships allow him to swim in the pools with swim diapers.?

most ships won't allow kids in swim diapers in the pool.

You should ask again on the board here at Cruise Critic dedicated to the cruiseline you're planning on traveling on.

He will be allowed in the kiddie pool with swim diapers. May I recommend Carnival or NCL as good choices for a two year old. My daughter has done both and even though potty trained at two we made her wear a swim diaper in the pool so others would not worry.

Carnival does not permit children in diapers (swim or otherwise) or those not potty-trained, to use *any* of the pools on board.

This is a US Public Health regulation that most cruise lines adhere to.

But Carnival.. allows the 2 year olds in camp carnival where on Royal that child needs to be 3. Im not sure about other lines.

I dont know of any cruiselines that allow swim diapers in any pool.
