lesliew Posted September 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2012 We are looking into the Hop On Bus in Singapore. Just wondering how best to reach it from the Port. How far is the Port from Public Transit, or is there a shuttle? etc? (we are on Diamond Princess, visiting Singapore Friday Nov 23) Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you Leslie. Bluwater7 Posted September 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2012 Most ports where we have used hop on hop off have the service right at the pier ... not always clear in the write ups. I would check with your vendor - the one I use answers quite quickly.

You can download their route map from their web site ; http://www.isango.com/singapore-tours/singapore-tours/hop-on-hop-off-tour-of-singapore_5180 We did the bus a few years ago on a land based trip. I don't recall it comeing to the peir area. You may have to take a taxi to the nearest pick up spot.
lesliew Posted September 24, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted September 24, 2012 The original HOHO company did not respond to my question. I resent to SIA (Singapore International Airline) which also operates a HO Bus... and this was their response: Hi Leslie, It would be rather far to walk to one of the SIA Hop-on Bus stops. You may download a map of the SIA Hop-on Bus route from our website (see http://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/special-offers/sia-hop-on-bus/) . The cruise bay is located south, near the HarbourFront Centre. Please check that this is the end port for your cruise on Diamond Princess. If you are arriving at the Singapore Cruise Centre at Harbourfront, you should make your way to the bus stop on Telok Blangah Road, outside Vivo City shopping centre. Board the public bus number 80, and alight at Apollo Centre (Bus Stop No: B05023). You would need either coins or an EZ-link card to use the public bus services. Thank you. lesliew Posted September 27, 2012 Author #10 Share Posted September 27, 2012 Hi Carol and Jim I have found two HOHO busses in Singapore. Both very reasonably priced. ($16 to $19) Singapore Airlines is at http://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/sp...ia-hop-on-bus/ ISANGO http://www.isango.com/singapore-tours/singapore-tours/hop-on-hop-off-tour-of-singapore_5180 It is my understanding that you can walk to the public transit bus stop on Telok Blangah Road, outside Vivo City shopping centre. Board the public bus number 80, and alight at Apollo Centre (Bus Stop No: B05023). You would need either coins or an EZ-link card to use the public bus services. There is a Roll Call for this Cruise. Go to Message Boards, Roll Call, Diamond Princess and you will see one for Beijing to Thailand November 10 to 26th (I can't recall exact name). There is lots of information from fellow passengers there. (Note, you will need to register for Cruise Critic to join a Roll Call). Thanks. Leslie.
