cluelyss18 Posted October 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2012 I tried using the search feature but could not find the answer to this. We are planning a trip in 2013. There is a group booking we are supposed to be using through RCI. If I were to call RCI and book through them using the group #, could I then transfer my booking to the TA I usually use who is offering obc?..it's enough obc to make me want to go through the hassle.. If I do this, will I lose my part in the 'group'? (I hope this made sense!) Thanks!

I'm sure one of the travel agents will confirm, but my understanding is that the group is owned by a travel agent, in your case RCI. If you transfer your booking, you're out of the group. My2Kitties Posted October 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2012 Clarea is correct...you would have to ask your agent to group it for you for the amenities...then try to find some friends to go with you...either way, enjoy!

shippmates Posted October 11, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2012 If you transfer to another travel agent you will be removed from the group. You can ask your travel agent to create a group for you to join. It is possible she may not be able to get the same price or specials the group with RCI has. Another thing to consider is the OBC worth more than the group deal. Enjoy your cruise whatever you decide.
