Venice overnight - Disembarking early?

Our ship overnights in Venice with disembarkation to begin at 9am the 2nd day. I am looking at flights back to Texas and am wondering how early we can get off to catch a flight. Since we are overnighting, can we walk off with our own luggage as early as 4:30am to catch a 7:40am flight? Or do we have to wait for regular disembarkation at 9am?

Usually, yes. Generally the ships like to have everyone off the ship by 9:00ish so they can start the turnaround for the next cruise.

Not sure, which cruise line you're with, however i just got off the ship on Oct 15th, with Princess, they start to disembarkation at 4am, 2 days before arriving to Venice, the cruise line will send you a form to your stateroom and ask you to select which time you wish to disembarkation,

so at that moment you can select to disembarkation at 4am and they will arrange for you.

You should be able to get off at 4:30 if you desire, just check with the desk once on board.

I am sure you can get off early but best to contact the cruise line directly to verify this.

We had a 7:10 AM flight out of Venice and made the flight just fine. We cruised with Princess and as part of the bus transfer package, they even took our luggage to the airport. It was there waiting for us when we arrived. It was very convenient.

We just came back from Venice and it is easy to get a taxi to the airport from the port (takes about 20 mins) and cost us 45 euros for the taxi (we gave him 50). If there are no taxis at the taxi rank, there is a freephone there and when you call, they just come to pick you up.
