I am wondering what currencies are required for the ports of call on this cruise or will just U.S. cash and Euros suffice?

I am not sure any of the Baltic Countries take the Euro

Out St. Petersburg guide in May 2001 made it clear she wanted to be paid in dollars.

 

On the Black Sea cruise this summer, most of our groups wanted to be paid in dollars, so we assumed the guides and drivers preferred dollars as well.

 

In Constanta (Romania) we could pay in dollars or euros, but everywhere else we paid in dollars.

 

OTOH, I think when eating in restaurants (which we only did once or twice) they wanted local currency. We used a cab in Trabzon, Turkey and he asked for dollars.

Usuallty the ship will have the currency you need and can do an exchange. So it may cost you a few extra dollars, but it is worth not having to "guess."
