Balcony Partitions Diamond Princess BE C336 C340

Almost assuredly. Generally, the only balcony dividers that won't open are in between cabins that are separated by fire doors, and those cabins generally begin with a different number (i.e., between C336 and C402).

That said, there are no balcony cabins numbered 336 and 340 on Caribe deck on the Diamond . . . BE category cabins are all the way forward on Baja Deck, #s B114 and 116 port and B119 and B123 starboard. The dividers between each of those pairs should open.

This is not true on the Grand class ships and the Island and Coral. There are some balconies on the Island and Coral that don't have doors but that is for other reasons. See photo below of door in divider between D330 and D400 on the Sapphire.

OP probably meant C236 and C240. These are Cat BE after May 24, 2013. The door in the balcony can be opened between the cabins by your steward.
