footballbabe3 Posted October 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2012 At the casino you use your sail and sign card to put in the slots. Is that how they track you at the tables? Do I give my SS card to the dealer. Sorry I just don't know.

The pit boss will check on you periodically to estimate your average bet and track how long you are at the table. But allow me to point out that because of the low house advantage for table games, you won't earn a lot of points unless you are betting $50 or $100 a hand, or playing 8 hours a day. cb at sea Posted October 30, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2012 Some cruiselines will "track" your play if you insert your ship's key into the machine.....you have to play A LOT of money for them to pay any attention to you.
evergladesgator Posted October 31, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2012 On one CCL ship i asked the casino mgr. to rate my play at the craps table and he told me don't bother. It's the slot play that they are interested in.
KirkNC Posted October 31, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 31, 2012 On HAL you use your room key for the slots. At the tables you use cash unless you want to pay a 3% service fee.
NAPLESBOY Posted November 14, 2012 #7 Share Posted November 14, 2012 Casinos track you mercilessly. They will comp you on a reasonable estimate on what you will hyothetically lose. Just like you would if you ran a casino. You can never fool them. Therefore, if you bet $1,000 on a blackjack table, you are expected to lose approximately $100 as an average player = they'll comp you approximately 20% of that expected loss i.e. $20.00. That's the way it works.

That's the way it works. Are you talking one bet or over a period of time ? Not sure where you are pulling your numbers and whether you're talking a "basic strategy" player as an average player or something else ? Most people playing a non-strict basic strategy will give the house 1.5 to 2% house edge. Playing strictly basic strategy generally leaves a house edge around 0.5%. So how are you calculating $100 for an average player loss ????
