Villefranche/Nice Private Tour Company

Hi, we are going on the Liberty of the Seas next summer and one of our stops is Villefrance/Nice. In our Italy ports (Florence, Rome, Naples) we are using RomeInLimo, and we were wondering if there was a comparable company in the French Riviera with comparable great reviews. We are interested in a tour that will take us to a few towns along the coast such as Nice, Eze, and Monaco.

We also used RIL for Rome but then used the ship (LOS) offered Nice/Monaco/Monte Carlo..Usually not a fan of ship excursions but this one worked out very well..it ended up being more of a DIY.

We used her out of Cannes and visited Cap D'Antibes, Haut du Cagnes (which NO ONE else on our ship saw that we know of) and St. Paul du Vence, and along the entire trip she was a wonderful guide and charming hostess!

Use Ingrid of Kultours. She is fantastic and will design and do whatever you wish. We absolutely loved Eze and her special little view! She is friends with Sylvie!

7 thumbs up for Sylvie. We had an incredible day with her out of Villefranche. We went to Nice (wonderful views, market and chocolate shop), then on to Eze where we had lunch at a beautiful crepe restaurnant on the mountain and finally to Monte Carlo (the weekend after the Grand Prix race there). Sylvie actually drove us on the race route and went into the pit area. We went into the Monte Carlo casino and saw many other sites.

 

Truly a day we will never forget and I give Sylvie my highest recommendation!

Did you choose "RomeInLimo" because of previous experience, or a referral of some type. Our family (eight of us) are also on LOS in June -- Barcelona, Toulon, Nice, Livorno, Rome and back to Barcelona. Any other tour suggestions for the other ports would be appreciated. I followed some advice for a guide in Toulon and contacted Catherine D'ANTUONO and may go with her on that stop. But I have to tell you that moving eight of us around the Mediterranean for a week might call for a second mortgage. THANX

We used RomeinLimo based on these boards in 2009, and all 3 guides were outstanding (Rome, Florence, Naples). Then in Nice we used Sylvie, and had the most incredible experience with her-she is so charming and knowlegeable, and wiggles her way into places that seem impossible to take a tourist!!

My husband and I strongly recommend Sylvie Di Cristo. We met up with Sylvie at the harbour in Villefranche along with another CC couple, spent an amazing day touring from Monaco to Roquebrune Cap Martin and along back roads to Nice. Her expert guidance and knowledge of the area made for a very special day. We had a wonderful experience and felt like we had made a new friend.
