Visa required for permanant resident in US

Hi,

Friends want to take a princess cruise which starts and ends in US port, stop in Colombia, panama, costa rica and aruba. They're US permanent residents. Do they need visa for all these countries?

In case they missed one or two visas, will they be refused to aboard the cruise, or only denied at the port visiting?

Has anyone taking this route, and recall if there is any immigration office at each port?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

April

There is always an immigration check at every port, although rarely a face-to-face, except for certain countries. This is a question for your friends to put to the cruise line. Depends on what passport they are holding: different rules for different passports. Depending, it can get complicated, which is why you need to check with the cruise lien. Regards, Richard

Permanent residency is not a factor. Whath is relevant is their country of citizenship.

They need to check that country's visa requirements against port visits. If a ship visits a country where one is required they could be denied boarding. Also they should have their passport as some of the exemptions from bringing them might NOT apply, since you said they were not US citizens.
