My husband and I had tablemates one was Diamond the other was not. They were traveling together, same cabin etc. They went to the lounge everynight and the gal who was not Diamond was never refused entry. So do some checking before you assume your mother won't be welcome.

For the first couple of days they will ask you for your seapass until they know your face..and Erik is like a police...and will ask you for your key to program it, so you have access to the diamond lounge.

I have read on these boards that the new menus are scheduled for early Feb., 2013. Hope so, as we will be sailing again on March 3.
