RoonilWazlib Posted November 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2012 I've been browsing around and reading all sorts of posts in preparation for my first cruise, and I have seen a couple stories about the window cleaners getting a peek in your room! How often does this happen?? My fiance and I are getting married on this cruise, and I really don't want peeking going on when I have the reasonable expectation of privacy! Any tips to avoid the peeping window cleaners??
garycarla Posted November 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 20, 2012 ...Any tips to avoid the peeping window cleaners?? - close window curtains - they only do windows in port, not at sea
yayvacation! Posted November 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2012 Like PP said close your curtains if you are expecting privacy. They only clean the balcony glass while you are in port and the windows are cleaned by the room stewards. Use common sense and you should be fine. Rare ghstudio Posted November 20, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2012 We have always received a printed note in our room the night before stating that they would be cleaning windows, etc.
miched Posted November 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 20, 2012 Any tips to avoid the peeping window cleaners?? Get a inside cabin, :D and lock the door and put out the privacy wanted card to avoid the steward from entering. ;)
RoonilWazlib Posted November 20, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted November 20, 2012 Thank you for the tips! I am a bit clueless about cruising. I was getting nervous hearing those stories about people having an unexpected audience! I am very modest, and something like that happening would really freak me out!
