Regarding the Golden Princess, Are the dining rooms open for lunch on embarkation day ?

 

Or do we have to do the buffet ?

One of the dining rooms will be open on embarkation day. It is available to everyone, regardless of your status. However, it is only open until about 1 or 1:30pm. Of course, the buffet will be open as well, with longer hours. Enjoy your cruise!

If you plan to eat in the DR you should plan to get to the port to be checked in by 11:30 so you can board once they have started. Each day's Patter lists open times for each restaurant so check out the DR open for Lunch. In addition to the DR and the HC you can also get pizza or burgers and dogs by the Neptune pool or a sandwich, salad or soup at the International Cafe Plaza deck.

Agree, with the above posts, the buffet, pizza bar and the grill are alternate eateries.:D
