Celebrity Restaurants - Port Days

We are first time cruisers with Celebrity and are booked on a 14 night Mediterranean cruise next year on board Eclipse.

 

We would appreciate the advice of any seasoned Celebrity cruiser as to whether the restaurants are open at lunchtime when the ship is in port ?.

 

When we have sailed P & O their policy has been to have theirs open on port days but Royal Caribbean close theirs which was disappointing and meant we had to eat in the self serve cafeteria.

All self serve restaurants and bistro on five are open on port days.

Main Dining Room is closed for lunch on port days.

Aqua spa cafe and mast grill would also be open.

I recommend bistro on 5 for lunch, it's quiet with a few tables taken and gret food and service. We head there when we embark for a hassle free lunch away from the buffet.

I did not know Bistro on 5 was open on boarding day. The crew is always so busy trying to get everyone up on deck and at the buffet. I too will make it a point to eat at the Bistro and avoid the crazy buffet when I get on the ship.

Not anymore, it appears many are doing the same thing and it is not as empty as it used to be...

 

Aqua spa cafe is also open on embarkation day for lunch...

Yes, Bistro on 5 opens around 11 a.m. on embarkation day. Found that out on our last cruise.
