Quick phone question on Freedom of the Seas

I am leaving next week to go on the freedom of the seas, I have an Iphone 5 on att and was just wondering how I know if my phone is using international towers. I don't want to get charged anything extra, I remember last year I had data service and phone service multiple times and never got charged extra but I can't remember how I knew I could use my phone. Thank you.

Make sure data roaming is off.

You should be able to look at the top-left corner of your iPhone and see whether it says AT&T (your normal domestic service) or Cellular@Sea (international roaming on the ship) or some other carrier you don't recognize (if you're on one of the islands).

Got that done, thanks. I was looking at past pictures and it saved pictures locations so I must of had data on in some places. I remember looking stuff up too and no extra charge. IDK remember how I knew though. I also recall seeing different names where att is but no charges, the only place we had service was i think in st thomas and san juan though.

Picture locations might come from the GPS integrated in the phone. No data needed for the GPS to supply latitude and longitude.

St. Thomas and San Juan are charged the same as mainland US for AT&T plans.

Cool, is there any other caribbean islands that are free? Thanks again for the help.

For AT&T, all the US Virgin Islands are billed the same as mainland US. These are St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix.
