Up at 8:45 am to greet another warm and sunny day. Call Sue to meet up at the Ocean Plaza outdoor Lanai for breakfast - also find Loretta and Maryann there so we all sit and have breakfast together.

At 11 am it is time for the special’mimosa’ farewell party in Sue’s cove balcony cabin - yes we had to get rid of that champagne somehow So Nancy, Julie, Sue, Ruth, Elle and I toast each other and have snacks and enjoy the cove view until it’s time for our CC farewell luncheon in the Blush dining room.

We meet at noon and there around 20 of us present so we split up into 2 tables - I finally remember to bring my ‘free drink’ coupon with me (VIPF) and order a bellini to go with my lunch (and yes after a mimos and bellini I am very happy!) Lots of pics were taken and email addresses exchanged.

Well I sure hope everyone has a Transatlantic cruise on their bucket list - I sure did!...and I am happy to report that I had so much fun that I don’t want to cross it off the list as I plan to do it again!

Firstly let me say this was the BEST CRUISE EVER EVER.....EVER....I never anticipated having so much fun, making so many new friends and having so much time to enjoy the ship.

So here we go - please note this is a long, and detailed review with pics so those looking for ‘short and sweet’ may be disappointed. Please feel free to skip over any parts you may find boring!

I booked this cruise almost a year and half out when the Breeze TA itinerary first came out - loved the itinerary and happy to hear about the Miami homeport so I finally, after much deliberation, grabbed the last 1A porthole cabin as I was going solo.

I should also add that I jumped onto the Roll Call shortly after I booked to find a very active group of cruisers many of whom already knew each other from previous transatlantic cruises and lots of activities/shared tours/parties were already in the works with someone creating a ‘dedicated’ website where we could post tours, cruiser info and other details. It was a blast getting to know everyone pre-cruise and finally meeting them in person on the ship.

Hi Froufie, Trevor (propilot) and I were with you on "some" cruise awhile back - your transatlantic looks fantastic and it is definitely on my bucket list too! Thanks for all of the great posts and pics. We are cruising on the Breeze on Jan 13/13 and then doing a "honeymoon" Mediterranean cruise on May 16/13 - can't wait for either. Maybe our paths (or waves) will cross again one day - by for now

Sue (copilot)

Back to the cabin for some more packing until I decide I need some fresh air - so outside for some sunshine until our final Funtime Teatime with Froufie and Friends.

Nov2012BreezeTA1357.jpg

We had lots of fun and food and I had to bid a very fond farewell to my teatime boyfriend Sasha !

Back outisde til 6 pm for a final dose of sunshine then to the cabin to get ready for dinner. Off to the piano bar for the last time - found some of my roll call buddies there and honestly it was a very tearful farewell as we all hugged and kissed and promised to stay in touch.

Off to dinner where I took pics with all my tablemates and others and waitstaff before heading off to see Edge in the Ovation theatre with Sue and Anne,,,,,,then more sad goodbyes.

Bye to:

Off to finish packing and of course my luggage was too heavy so I had to unload and reload into the carryon - what a bummer!

We got to move our clocks back that final hour and off to bed for me.

Yippee! Videos! I swear I was going thru 'Froufie withdrawal,' waiting for you to post the next installment :D:p

Even better: Spent today at the beach in Tel Aviv, and while there, thought of how I missed our St. Martin beach day, and how incredibly sweet you were to bring me that honey- and I came back home to find you posting about it!!

Miss you, sweetie! Can't wait to read (and watch!) more!

Beach??? Did you say you went to the Beach!!!!! It's like -21C today - BITTER BITTER COLD - I am freezing - I want to go to the beach too:(

Glad you are enjoying the 'entertainment'.....and hope that the withdrawal symptoms are passing? :)

Miss u lots!

Don't get too excited- it was only warm enough for bathing suits for a couple of hours :p. And, we just got over a 'storm of a decade,' so the waves were high, and the tide was really high- lifeguard stations were meters into the surf, instead of being on sand! Oh- and back where I live, it's brisk out- even had to turn the heat on for a few minutes to get the chill out of our apartment :p

I am really enjoying your review! I am seriously considering the Sunshine TA, and this is really helping me make my decision.

That stalker lady really is creepy! I work for Correctional Service of Canada and usually it takes a lot to faze me! :-)

Quite a few of us from the Breeze TA have already booked the Sunshine TA for November 1st, 2013. Come on and join our reunion cruise! We're going to have a great time! Nancy

I may not have been on the previous cruise but I will be on the Sunshine and I must say, froufie please leave your stalker on land. She is not invited. LOL.

Happy Christmas,

Deb

Then it HAPPENED - I found my ‘extra special machine’ at the Casino. So as you have read I wasn’t having much luck with any of the machines I was playing, but at least I was playing with Carnival $$ so didn’t feel so bad ($500 OBC upon boarding). Anyways I tried a new machine today - the Space Invaders one with the cows in spaceships - and the cows were very good to me - giving me back $315 after a couple of spins! Time to celebrate - finding Sue at one of her machines with her super duper ‘drinks on us’ card - a Miami Vice appears for me! :D

Kelly Toycow says naturally you were treated well by the cows Miss Froufie!:D

So enjoyed reading your review Frouf! I so enjoy your taking us on your adventures. Hope to sail again with you soon!

As mentioned you should definitely try out the Sunshine TA - I think you would love it (and I could sure use someone like you on board....just in case? LOL)...

Leaving all stalkers and 'unsavory characters' on land!

Hi Kelly - how are you doing!!! Thanks so much for sending those good 'cow vibes' my way - I should have known to stick with the space invader cows to begin with!

Hope to sail with you (and Lorraine) again soon sometime :D:D

So after not sleeping well due to the ROCKING AND ROLLING of the ship - seriously of all the times to have ‘bad seas’? The trip back to Miami was quite ‘exciting’ so much so that I actually took some Bonine in the middle of the night as I was being tossed from one side of the bed to the other!!

At 6:30 am is that ‘first announcement’ - looks like some issues with customs clearance already.

Had breakfast with Sue at 7 am in the Blush - left carryon stuff in the cabin. There were continual announcements about the delay in disembarkation due to the clearance of the crew - and I was somewhat prepared for that knowing that this was the first time the Breeze was in the U.S. so ‘extra’ customs stuff was required......but I was in no rush to get off anyways as I had a 2 pm flight out of FLL.

At 8 am I was back in the cabin to pick up my stuff and by 8:30 I was literally off the ship - very easy disembarkation - now customs was another story. The place was a madhouse and very unorganized with people everywhere. There were both US and non-US citizen lines - and they were not well placed - and there seemed to be more non-citizens so those lines were super crowded with some being ‘closed’ for a while with people panicking due to pending flights. (Yes I let some people in ahead of me who had earlier flights than I did). By 9:30 am I was out of the building and on the phone with SAS who showed up within a few minutes and off we went to pick up some others.

The ride to the airport was uneventful as we all chatted about our cruise and we arrived around 10:30 am. Now given all the hype and information from my US friends I was expecting the airport to be crazy busy as this was supposed the ‘busiest’ flying day of the year - the day before Thanksgiving. So much to my surprise and delight the place was fairly empty - at least when I got there. Very easy checkin and a bit of a line thru security - then the long wait. Grabbed some pizza for lunch and relaxed til my flight was called.

Yes we left late - yes I ‘technically’ missed my connection in Montreal and had to swtich flights when I got there - yes I had to clear customs in Montreal (pain in the bum - prefer being booked thru the US so I can clear customs at home and not have to get my luggage then recheck it again). Got to Facetime with family at home while sitting at the airport and let them know I would be late......then finally home!

Froufie, this was the saddest time of the cruise--getting off our wonderful Breeze TA and heading for home. All of a sudden it was over. No more tea times. No more piano bar. No more Thrill Theater, sitting out in the sun, ropes course, miniature golf, Guy's Burgers, great Italian food, and worst of all, we all had to say good-bye and head in our separate directions! At least a bunch of us are meeting up again on the Sunshine TA. I can hardly wait! Thanks so much for your FABULOUS review! Nancy

I hear you - and felt it too :(....took me a while to build up my 'stamina' to get to this part of the review - I know it's so sad to say goodbye - but the memories are fantastic :)
