Super early Galveston arrival

Usually we fly in the night before, but after 6 cruises we are flying in the day(night) of. I have a direct flight from Las Vegas to IAh that lands at 6:30am. I have booked a town car through Execucar(Super Shuttle) for the three of us. I figure that would put us in Galveston between 8:30 and 9:30am. I am wondering if there we can arrive at the port, drop off our bags, and walk to a near by place for some breakfast? It was against my better sense of comfort to fly this way but for the cost of the flight I will suck it up.:D

Thanks I found the Tremont House menu on line and it looks like a good place for breakfast. I think we will go there.
