Obstructed View Balconies on Royal

From an examination of the deck plans and the outside profile of the ship it appears that: The railing will be solid, not glass. Downward views to the sea will be blocked. You should get plenty of light, as upward and horizon views do not seem to be obstructed.

It appears that the railings will be glass and the reason for the partially obstructed designation is that there will be life boats below you. Click on the following link and then opposite click on the photo, then select 'original' and scroll down and to the right. You will get a good idea of what it will be like.
