mtn_couple Posted January 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2013 Looking at booking Voyager of the Seas soon. Has anyone seen and/or able to compare the balcony rooms to a junior suite? What are the differences between superior & deluxe balcony rooms and what is better in the Junior Suite? Is the suite really that much bigger? We are a couple traveling with a 3 year old. We were on Carnival Spirit earlier this year in an extended balcony room and it was quite small for the 3 of us, thinking a JS may suit us better this time round. Any thoughts, experiences or photos would be fantastic! Thanks in advance!

Plus it has a bathtub which might be useful for the 3 year old.
Kevin's girl Posted January 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2013 One other nice feature you may like is the bath tub that you will have with the Jr suite. This I would think would bet an advantage with your 3 year old. The extra space in the room would also be nice.
Norwegianlatvian Posted January 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2013 I had JS with Voyager in October 2009, and Balcony with Mariner in October 2012. Happy with both. The JS is much bigger, and that will probably be good since you got a 3 years old with you.
Kellie Poodle Posted January 2, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2013 The difference between a superior and a deluxe balcony is the width of a sofa cushion. The superior has a 3 cushion sofa, which sometimes can be opened as a bed, and the deluxe has a two-cushion love seat. We have sailed in both the deluxe and the superior balcony cabins on Voyager and never found the difference to be significant.
dixieva Posted January 2, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 2, 2013 JS on Voyager-264.8 sq. ft. D1 179.8 sq. ft. So the JS is quite a bit larger plus the balcony is larger.
