First time b2b question

We have booked a b2b from Vancouver to Seward. When we arrive in Seward do we have to get off the ship along with everyone else? We have the same room booked for the second half of our trip so I am wondering if we are allowed to just hang out on our balcony while everyone else is getting off the ship?

Thanks in advance for any help

No you don't have to get off the ship or go thru US Customs or Immigration.

Alaska cruises from Vancouver clear customs & immigration in Vancouver .

In Seward there are a number of free museums that you can see . Use the free shuttle into town or walk (approx 45 min max) . There is a number of restaurants and stores about a 10 min walk away as well

For the turnaround day at Seward, they should give you a transit pass to come and go as you please throughout the day so that you can get right on the ship whenever you return to re-board and don't need to wait in line with the newly arriving passengers.

You can pick up one of the free Alaska coupon books in the Seward terminal.

Yes, you can just hang out on your balcony if you wish, but it would be a shame to do so and miss out on the wonderful opportunity to take one of the spectacular Kenai Fjords excursions at Seward. That is one of the top highlights of an Alaska trip.

If you do it, make sure to book at least a 6 hour Kenai Fjords excursion that gets you up into the fjords, not one of the short boat rides that only stays within Resurrection Bay.

If you can be one of the first passengers off the ship and catch one of the 8:00 am Kenai Fjords excursions, the boats leaving at that time tend to be less crowded than the later excursions that leave around 11 something.
