lbw Posted January 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2013 We are looking at the 4/25 Enchantment and all the balconies and JS are gone. The only OVs are guarantees, either F or H. The best inside left is category L. Our TA put a hold on the F guarantee OV, but F seems to be spread all over decks 2,3, 4 and 7, so our actual location could be less than desirable. Should we switch to H guarantee which is all deck 3, or go for an assigned inside? Is there a good reason to keep the F guarantee? We have never sailed on any Vision class ship and have never done a Guarantee with RCCL, so any advice would be very appreciated.
Mapleleafforever Posted January 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2013 I will never sail in an inside cabin again, once was more than enough. I say go OV guarantee if there are no balconies left.
sunnysavannah Posted January 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Depends on what you like. Have you ever stayed in an inside cabin? My DH really prefers the absolute darkness of insides. And I really like the location to be near stairs or elevators. Of course, if we could do suites...
Lady Hudson Posted January 8, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2013 I had an inside booked for 3/25 on Enchantment. When I saw that the outside guarantee was cheaper (in November) than what I had booked the inside for -- I switched. Got a better location than the inside! I say -- go for it! Mapleleafforever Posted January 8, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2013 The only thing an inside cabin is good for is price. But it's cheap for a reason IMHO.
Candleonwater Posted January 8, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Unless you KNOW you like inside cabins... go for OV. I would only book an inside (especially on EN where cabins seem to be smaller anyway) if it meant the difference between cruising and not cruising.
