monteman Posted January 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2013 Will the casino allow you to put a charge (say $100-200) on your onboard account, and give you cash for the slots? I'm not sure if all cruise lines do that and it's been a long time since I was on RCI. Thanks in advance--

Jimnbigd Posted January 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2013 for a 3% fee Plus the 20% or so the slot themselves keep.
Granny DI Posted January 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2013 I always put my slots "cash" on my cruise tab. I don't like to carry a lot of cash when I travel and will not pay ATM fees on the ships. I guess I'm always lucky as I usually win at least 3% and get points from my credit card company.:)
chaswelf Posted January 15, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 15, 2013 Plus the 20% or so the slot themselves keep. Yep, the $3 fee per hundred you pay is the least of ones concern, but it doesn't stop me! RoyalDiamond Posted January 15, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 15, 2013 They will allow you to get up to $2000 per day for gaming! Wow. There is the 3% fee, which is $3 per every hundred. But, since I'm getting RCCL visa points for those charges, it's reduced a little in reality. The charge, incidentally, does NOT show as a cash advance on your credit card, it shows as a regular purchase!

(just in case). And, for those that need more like $500 to $1000 - the ATM fee is cheaper than the 3% the casino charges.
sdear Posted February 9, 2013 #10 Share Posted February 9, 2013 If you play enough to be eligible for the Casino Royale Club, they waive the 3% fee.

The problem that arises is that if you board the ship low on cash, planning to use the ATM for your cash withdrawals, you may be brought up short: it is not unusual for the ATMs to be out of service.
