danny91180 Posted January 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2013 My wife and I finally made Platinum status and are totaly excited:D Are there any requirements to maintain Platinum status, such as having to take a cruise every so often? Carnival's site mentions how to become.a Platinum VIFP but cant find anything saying that once you are platinum you stay platinum. I know some hotels and airlines will cancel your status if you are dormnt for a while. Although i doubt we will go a year without taking a Carnival cruise it would be nice to know. I would hate to lose platinum. Apologise if this is a repeat post. Thanks all!

maryred Posted January 15, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2013 As of right now you will stay a Platinum till you become a Diamond, no matter how long between cruises. Be forewarned though Carnival does reserve the right to change the program as they see fit.

Colorado Kat Posted January 14, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 14, 2014 You are platinum based on the number of cruises (old style) or nights cruised (new method). However, keep your own sign and sail cards, and printouts of cruises. Sometimes cruises disappear from your records, and you need to re-prove your status. Georgiagolfer Posted January 14, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 14, 2014 You will stay Platinum unless CCL changes the Loyalty Program again.
Rare Tapi Posted January 14, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 14, 2014 No worries. You'll stay Platinum, And even if you didn't, you have nothing to fear. You can always buy some of the benefits through FTTF or you can take advantage of one of the current "Platinum for one cruise" promotions.
Topo Gigio Posted January 15, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 15, 2014 You will stay Platinum unless CCL changes the Loyalty Program again. Once you are there, they won't downgrade you! if they change the program.
