CB Princess - Lunch on first day - recent experiences?

We are planning on having lunch when we board the CB in February. The 4 of us do not like conflict. I have read some post that sometimes they discourage you from using the dining room for lunch on day one. Has anyone had a recent experience on the Carribean Princess?

 

Any suggestions on what to politely say if they tell us it is for B2B cruisers only? Is that true?

 

So on the CB is it the Coral D.R. that is open embarkation day? (currently October/November 2013)

I know I will check the Patter when i get onboard, just trying to see if anyone on the current voyage or just off recently can answer.

No, it's just the same relaxed code as for any other lunch/breakfast -- shorts/tees/flipflops and so forth are okay. Just no swimwear.

Go straight to deck 6 - Coral Dining room. I didn't even ask anyone or look in the patter-we just went right to it. Doors were open - and they said "how many for lunch"?what a WONDERFUL relaxing way to start the cruise!

We cruised on the Caribbean Princess March 2013. We ate in the dining room on embarkation day. Food was great, as it was throughout the cruise. Loved the Caribbean Princess, a great ship and great friendly staff!
