Its possible if their are higher category cabins available. Ask your TA or PCC. No harm in asking...

I am booked on a Jewel CTN in February, paid in full, and I noticed a significant price drop. I spoke with my PCC and he offered to move me from an aft penthouse to a forward facing penthouse (bigger balcony and cabin) at no additional cost. I didn't want to do that (I'm dying to see what the aft experience is like), so he offered sparkling wine and strawberries. We get that anyway in a suite, so then he offered $50 OBC. I gladly and gratefully accepted that, especially because I didn't expect to get anything. I completely agree with the prior response; it can't hurt to ask!:)

Yes, definitely. You just pay the difference between what you've already paid and the current price of the cat you want to upgrade to.

 

We did this last spring when we booked GTY OA (all on deck 8) on the Star and got "upgraded" to O1 on deck 5 below the casino - we didn't like what we got so we paid to upgrade to the lowest real suite which was heavily discounted couple of weeks before departure.

We just did it. We were paid in full, 3 cabins and all upgraded to 2 bedroom suites from aft penthouse. Just paid the difference.

We booked through a TA.

You can do it but you will get whatever promo they are offering at the time you upgrade, so if you have OBC and they are no longer offering it you will lose it or can maybe gain some.

Yes- went from an SJ to DOS last year on Dawn 2 weeks before sailing and paid the difference. But- I called my TA and pushed her to check on a upgraded for me. It did not happen on its own...

Yep you can do it but you could loose OBC if you got some during a promo... I was going to pay upgrade but would loose my OBC so im gonna wait it out a couple more weeks and see what i get with GTY and be prepared to pay for something better if there is something i want available!
