Just looking at the prices for things on Labadee. Are there other alternatives instead of renting a $225 beach cabana? Chairs and umbrellas, etc.? If so, can you reserve them? Thanks!

You can go to Labadee and not spend any additional money. Lounge chairs are free.

Relax, the cabana is for those people who want more privacy and feel special and treated better. For the rest of up mopes, the beach, lounge chairs and tree for shade is just fine and dandy. And its all free. You might be a few bucks to tip, but not required, the beach boys who will set you up with lounge wherever you want to be on the beach.

You can easily go over to Nellie's Beach or Columbus Cove and have lounge chairs set up in the sun or shade. It's free, but you might want to tip the "chair guy" a couple of dollars. There is a free barbecue lunch, too. We very rarely spend any money on Labadee.

You can also go to Adrenaline Beach, where the zipline is, but it is more for observing....the water is too rough for swimming compared to the other beaches.

There is a Haitian Flea Market, very high pressure (bargaining expected), which some people love and others find uncomfortable. There is a fixed-price Artesan's Market in the building behind the flea market, which has a lot of the same merchandise in a less pressured environment.

Do suite guest get anything special on Labdee???

They will take you by tram to Barefoot Beach which is a private area. They have rental cabanas that you can pay for if you wish. There is a bar available. The lunch buffet has shrimp and steak. It is not as busy as some of the other areas. Very nice place.

Yes.

There is a private beach for grand suites and above.(dubbed suite beach, aka Barefoot beach)

If you want you can take a ride via golf carts to this area. We opt to walk and take in the scenary.

Once there you get a wristband so you dont have to show your sea pass every time.

One of the attendants will be assigned to you. If you just do loungers like us they will place them for you anywhere you want.........for us by our favorite tree.

They will also take those booked into cabanas to their cabanas.

Here you get your snorkel fins, mask and flippers for free as well as a floatie, just for the asking.

At lunch time there is an upgraded buffet, steak skewers of shrimp chicken and traditional picnic food hot dogs hamburgers salads and deserts.

There are tables nearby.

The beach area itself is clear, sandy and goes our about 100 -150 yards and is roped off from the Kayakers in the distance.

We love barefoot beach!!

Cannot wait till July!

We tip our attendant for his services, they always seem to keep my soda glass full.
