Demonyte Posted March 28, 2014 #76 Share Posted March 28, 2014 Hi, This is our 1st suite on Breakaway ( aft Penthouse) Is there a certain or mandatory time you must leave your suite on the day of disembarkation? On all NCL ships regardless the cabin category the time is the same for the whole ship, usually around 9am or 9:30am - it will be stated in the byebye-letter you will get to your cabin closer to the end of the cruise. Lazz Posted March 28, 2014 #78 Share Posted March 28, 2014 I have never been in a Haven suite or anything like it, so pardon me if this question sounds silly: If you order drinks in the Haven pool area, is there an charge like there would be at the other pools? Thanks for the info. One more question Any suggestions what time I should get to port? I know there priority embarkation and a reserved room for the Haven guests to wait. But I do not know around what time they start to escort you to the ship. Also have read that the room is small and gets crowded with standing room only. Yes, there are no free drinks (other than anywhere else) in Haven.

Boarding starts also pretty much the same time on all ships, usually between 11am and noon. If you arrive early (we usually try to arrive at 11am latest), there will be no big crowds yet, but you'll have to wait inside the terminal. If you arrive soon after noon, the crowds are there and you might have to wait in lines to even to get to the suite check-in area - but once through check-in, you'll get pretty much straight onboard. If you have a suite that is stocked with your favorite beverages, why not just bring it with you to the pool area?

SuiteTraveler Posted November 3, 2015 #86 Share Posted November 3, 2015 The free champagne and liqour bottles are only available for owners suites and garden villas, so not for regular suites (which the spa suites are). Spa suites DO get a welcome aboard bottle of champagne. The three bottles of liquor are only for Owner's Suites and Garden Villas, however and the soda in the mini bar is also not free. SuiteTraveler Posted November 3, 2015 #87 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Debating on Haven 2 bedroom family suite and a regular 2 bedroom family suite. Are they the same layout ? Doing Alaska and my parents will probably be in the room a lot since they don't like the cold , so I want to make sure we get a stateroom with plenty of room to relax for naps and such . Also a well behaved 11 year old will be with us , will she have Haven access too and can she come to the parties ? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Yes, they are the same layout. IMO, with your parents, I'd get a 2 bedroom IN the Haven just so that they don't have to do tons of walking - but maybe that is not an issue? If you are in The Haven everyone has Haven access. If you are in a regular 2 bedroom family suite, you don't get Haven access. In regards to the Haven parties - it is ship's officers and cocktails with passed hors d'ouerves - not very long - held in the Haven Courtyard. If your 11 year old likes this sort of thing, you can bring her but I would think she would be bored.

Neither do the rest of the people in the queue. You will have to line up like everyone else.

We were just on the Gem, we got a very extensive list and were able to pick any six liter bottles. Since we never opened them because of the UBP we took them home. Was told it was OK. In October on our return it was maybe ,15 minutes.
