I was wondering if someone could answer a wee query. If someone would be celebrating a special birthday in march but were either cruising in April or July as part of there celebration would rccl do anything to acknowledge it? Thanks in advance

They can acknowledge it, but you or someone in your party has to pay for it. They sell room decorations, cakes, packages, flowers etc. Here's the link to the gifts they sell:

You can also tell your waiter in the MDR & they will bring you a slice of dessert with a candle in it & sing Happy Birthday to you...they don't care if it's really your birthday then or not...you will hear them singing a lot thru the cruise

Yeah well, remember that a good number of the passengers onboard are celebrating something - birthday, anniversary, retirement, wedding, engagement, family reunion... there is no way the cruise line can acknowledge all of them for free. ;)

On our last RC Cruise a couple on our Table got engaged on Formal Night, we all got excited and I said to our Waiter "Look they have got engaged" - and his reply was "Yes I know" - not a blink - so don't expect anything special from them !!

No they won´t, not even if you would cruise on the date of the special birthday.
